I was lucky enough to get this amazing book by Elizabeth Acevedo approved by Net-galley so I will be sharing my review with everyone today!
I love verse novels and have loved Elizabeths previous books so I was very excited to pick this one up.
Its written from Camino’s and Yahaira’s point of views. And I enjoyed both characters a lot as their voices were distinct and full of personality.
To see the contrast of their lives as well as the similarities was a big part of the book. I particularly loved it when the two girls finally meet as it tackles the many emotions of family drama.
Overall it was a great and unique book dealing with culture, grief and split families!
This is out May 5th in the Uk.
Thanks for reading. Have you read any of Elizabeths other books?
