Today I will be reviewing this fab ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ verse novel written by Louisa Reid .

I absolutely love verse novels especially Sarah Crossan’s so this is the first of a quite a few debut reviews.

Gloves off was very empowering and easy to read . It Tackles subjects of bullying due to weight and family/ friend dynamics.

I particularly enjoyed how the voices of the characters came through and the fact we got her mums too.

The fact Lily takes up boxing to deal with her problems really jumped out to me as this was a coping strategy I once used and although I can no longer box due to pain seeing the love for it in a book is the best I can get.
