Blogmas DAY 10 : Paper Avalanche Book Review

Hi,

Paper Avalanche by Lisa Williamson is a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Im extremely lucky to have been sent an arc of this amazing book as well as joining the Blog Tour for it!

Firstly id like to say that I absolutely love Lisa Williamson and this book totally exceeded my expectations, in fact its my favourite one of hers so far and i finished it in 2 days.

Ro is a great character who i can relate to as she just likes to get her head down at school and has a unique/literal sense of humour. I immediately felt connected to her and wanted to be best friends as the emotions in the book hit my heart.

I loved the fact she went to choir as I love choir and its the thing that bought me out of my shell when i changed school after being ill for a long time.

Ro and Tanvi’s friendship starts off as being very comical but also hopeful as Tanvi doesn’t stop trying even though Ro puts up her usual defence mechanisms and thats really cool.I thoroughly enjoyed how the friendship slowly built as it makes the story more realistic and shows the development of Ro’s character and her confidence. I really liked that this friendship was the main focus and not the romances going on.

The difference between their parents is refreshing to read as it shows the struggles everyone faces and that nobody has a perfect life. Tanvi’s family is similar to mine in the sense that they’re supportive and are great to my friends as well as me. There were a lot of heartwarming moments involving them and for me it was a key aspect of this book.

Thanks so much for reading! If you haven’t already you should definitely read Lisa’s other books All about Mia and The art of being normal , Then get your hands on this one as soon as it comes out on 3rd January as i cant recommend them enough.
